Report: Marshall hiring Sam Houston offensive coordinator

Sam Houston State offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey is being hired for the same position at Marshall, WSAZ-TV reported late Tuesday. Marshall officials were unavailable for comment Tuesday night.

The 43-year-old former New Hampshire quarterback finished his first year of directing the Bearkats’ offense, which averaged 43.3 points and 538.1 total yards per game. The Bearkats finished 12-2, advancing to the FCS semifinals.

Cramsey had directed four other offenses: New Hampshire (2009-11), Florida International (2012), Montana State (2013-15) and Nevada (2016). He would become the second Marshall assistant to have worked for Mario Cristobal at FIU, joining offensive line coach Alex Mirabal.
